The wolf raider is the upgrade of the wolf rider, the second-level creature of the Stronghold faction in Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Restoration of Erathia. It can be recruited from the upgraded wolf pen.
Goblins and Hobgoblins mounted on wolfback are far more effective than their ground-pounding counterparts. The raider delivers two blows with each attack.OffBck
It has the highest damage of Tier 2, but it's weak to attack due to its low HP. It's best to give it a defense boost, and much more effective when it has good morale (2 or 3), so it can get away from strong enemies. The wolf raider can strike twice (hit once, take retaliation, if any, then strike again).
When fighting against it, destructive spells can bring it down easily.

- Tyraxor is a specialist in wolf raiders, and gives them +1 to Attack and Defense per hero level after second level. These creatures also get +1 to Speed.
