Vayarad is a character in Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Shadow of Death. He was a vampire lord from northwestern Deyja[1]. Wanting to stage a coup in Deyja, he began to send his own brood into AvLee, hoping to weaken them and strengthen his own position at the same time. His armies were growing slowly, but steadily. At some point, he killed Lord Falorel and took his place.
To further weaken the AvLee border forces, he asked Gelu and the Forest Guard to help him deal with some "cutthroats and madmen" that plagued the border[2]. Unknown to Gelu, the people were actually innocent AvLee Border Lords. Vayarad then convinced Gelu to kill one of the Dragon Lords by telling him that the man was working with necromancers and conspiring against AvLee[3].
Vayarad was poisoned by Sandro when the necromancer decided that Vayarad's ambitious plans were a threat to his own schemes.
