Might and Magic Wiki

One should never look a Vampire Prince in the eyes. Unfortunately not everyone remembers this basic truth. Those who are stupid enough to breach this rule risk being lost in a long sleep and falling under the total power of the vampire.OffBck

The vampire prince is the alternate upgrade of the vampire, the fourth-level creature of the Necropolis in Heroes of Might and Magic V.

Compared to the vampire lord, the vampire prince has 5 more health, 1 more movement speed, and 2 higher maximum damage, but also 2 lower minimum damage, making its damage output far more varied.

The vampire prince lacks the vampire lord's No Enemy Retaliation ability, and instead has the Torpor ability, which has a chance to put attacked enemies to sleep. While Torpor is far less consistent than No Enemy Retaliation and is ineffective against non-living foes, it can effectively remove an enemy unit from the fight for a short while (unless the enemy uses Cleansing).

Abilities[]

  • Undead - This creature is not alive (like all other Necropolis creatures) and its morale is always neutral. It cannot be affected by Poison- , Blind- or Mind-related magic.OffBck
  • Life Drain - When attacking enemy units, this creature can drain their health and use it to restore its own, or even to resurrect some killed creatures.OffBck
  • Flyer - This creature can move on to any free tile on the battlefield during its turn, regardless of the obstacles in the way.OffBck
  • Torpor - This creature has a chance to put an enemy into deep slumber by its attack. The sleeping enemy is not able to move or attack until it wakes up or is attacked. Moreover, it gets maximal damage from the Vampire Prince's attack and it does not retaliate to the attack that wakes it up. This ability will not work on Undead, Mechanical or Elemental creatures.OffBck
