"Viscount Kraeger - a companion of your youth and commander of the empire's northern reaches - has turned against the Emperor in open rebellion. Though he lacks the forces to topple the throne directly, he has embarked on a quest for a legendary artifact that will grant him powers great enough to destroy us all. The Emperor has called upon you to march forth with your armies, destroy the rebel Kraeger, and claim the artifact for the glory of the empire."
Uprising is the first scenario of the The Price of Loyalty campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Price of Loyalty.

Walkthrough[]
The Empire starts out with a green barbarian castle and a barbarian hero. There are three opponents: a blue knight castle, a red sorceress castle, and an orange barbarian town. All start out with a single hero.
The obvious choice is to pick the Stealth Shield as the starter reward, as the player will be starting as a Barbarian, on a small map, with not much spell casting involved. The player will want to finish fast and make troops last as long as possible!
The player starts at the bottom right corner of a small map. Quickly, purchase a wolf dwelling and a second hero and transfer all troops to the main hero. Now go southwest, kill the boars for the attack-improving artifact, then clear the sprites. Take out the Barbarian at the bottom left; the player should be able to finish them off within one week. During this week, get at least the bridge dwelling and upgrade orcs and ogres. Head back to the main castle for a fresh week of creatures,
Head northwest and stamp out the Sorceress; the player should be vastly overpowered. Get the password from the tent west of the Sorceress Castle, then finish off the blue knight castle in the middle-north. Nicely done in 3 weeks!
