"Piecing together the clues from both the Harmonic Chainmail and the Necklace of Muses, Agraynel now knows an important secret about the search for the Mandolin -- the location is tied to the Oracles in the region. Unfortunately, Mordanis is methodically searching every inch of ground. Agraynel must use this information to race Mordanis to the Mandolin."
Uludin Foothills is the third and last scenario in the Another Bard's Tale campaign in The Gathering Storm.

"Having discovered that Aiffe's Mandolin is hidden near the fortress city of Uludin, Agraynel and the Black Knight Mordanis now race to the prize. From the Harmonic Chainmail and the Necklace of Muses, Agraynel has learned that visiting the oracles will reveal the Mandolin's location. Mordanis is searching every square inch of ground, but he is meticolous and his minions tireless. Agraynel has but five months to visit the eight Oracles and retrieve the Mandolin."
While evading both Hexis's minions and the local Sorcerer's Guild, Agraynel visited the nine Oracles, discovering the location where the Mandolin was buried.
Strategy[]
Near Agraynel's initial Preserve, there are three other Preserves she can claim. While building them up will make them easier to defend, Agraynel shouldn't bring any creatures with her - finding and visiting the Oracles will be easier if she's alone, and can use her stealth to avoid detection.
There are six enemy towns: four orange Asylums and two red Necropolises. While the two enemy forces have large armies, the most dangerous opponents are the two high-level heroes - a 28th level orange Fireguard and a 30th level red General (Mardonis himself). The Fireguard isn't too dangerous if Agraynel faces her one-on-one, as a single Anti-Magic spell will render her damaging spells useless, but the General has good combat skills and a Breastplate of Regeneration.
Despite what the level's intro says, there are in fact nine Oracles, not eight - one near each Preserve and Asylum, and one north of the two Necropolises. After visiting all, Agraynel will be directed to the small shore near the Necropolises, behind the red gates that surround the Necropolis towns. The keymaster's tent is a few days north of the starting town, behind a stack of Black dragons that Agraynel can sneak past if she doesn't want to fight.
Once she has dug up the Mandolin, the campaign ends, and Agrayel can prepare for the final fight against Hexis.
