"Tarnum and his Horde broke through the Wallpeaks, but he found the Wizards prepared for his arrival. A trap! Hundreds of his troops were buried in a magical avalanche, leaving him weak and surrounded in the land of his enemy."

Trapped! is the sixth scenario in the Warlords of the Wasteland.

Tarnum battled his way through the Wallpeaks, but soon realizes he's entered a trap. His only chance is to capture the northern border town and escape. All Heroes are limited to level 25 and the two strongest will follow Tarnum to the next map.OffBck

After passing through the Wallpeaks, Tarnum discovered that the wizards laid a trap for him, and an avalanche wiped out most of his army. Separated from what remained, Tarnum had to defeat Bracaduun's forces in the area, and then make his way to a pass up north that was held by friendly forces. By going north, he would reach distant relatives of the barbarian people, and he hoped for their assistance.

His newest captain, Bloodclub, slaughtered a village of innocent peasants when he discovered that a mage was hiding there. While his captains asked Tarnum to punish him harshly for this crime, Tarnum let him go, unwilling to lose a strong warrior. Bloodclub was later slain while scouting, and Tarnum suspected his other captains - particularly his old friend Hardac.

Walkthrough[]

Tarnum starts out outside his Stronghold with one of the two strongest heroes from the previous scenario, near the center of the map. The other hero is to the north, outside a neutral Fortress that can be captured.

There are two Castles to the west, with a garrison of Tarnum's forces blocking the path between them. To the east, there are two Towers, with a group of ancient behemoths between Tarnum and his foes. The northern of the two Towers is behind a garrison of neutral creatures. None of the enemy towns start out with heroes or creatures.

The goal of the scenario is the neutral Stronghold in the northeastern corner, north of the Tower. It's protected by a quest guard that only Tarnum can open.

Strategy[]

Tarnum should by now be a very strong hero, and with a few high-tier creatures, or a few dozen low-tier ones, he should be able to quickly capture the northwestern castle. Building up quickly and taking out one of the enemy players will make things easier.

Northeast of the initial Stronghold, there's a jail protected by halberdiers, with a high-level hero ready to be rescued.

Tarnum and his two strongest heroes will carry over to the next scenario, and should be improved.
