Thirdan was an elf of Irollan that's mentioned in the A Tear for Ossir scenario in Heroes of Might and Magic V.
While Ossir and Sylrael is searching for the Tear of Asha, one of the signposts giving clues to the treasure reads: "In memory of Thirdan, a poor fisherman whose luck changed one day." Ossir tells his friend that Thirdan died as one of the wealthiest men in Irollan, despite the fact that the nearby lake had been fished for centuries.
They find this suspicious, and start their quest at the lake. There, they find find another signpost, and they are eventually successful in their quest.
