"Although the Wizard-Kings ruled the Mudlands, not even they were able to completely control these muggy swamps. Then Tarnum dragged his armies through the mud with just one goal in mind: join the forces of the Mudlands with his own, so he could finally bring down the Empire of Bracaduun."

Walkthrough[]
In order to build up an army strong enough to take on the Wizard-Kings of Bracaduun, Tarnum decides to invade the nearby Mudlands, joining their armies with his. While preparing for his strike, he is regularly visited by a barbarian woman by the name of Yalla, who sells meat, resources, and information to him in exchange for gold. He grows fond of her, but one day, she just disappears.
Having learned that three Mudlanders fight for control over the area, Tarnum gathers his army and takes down the three leaders: the Witch Mirlanda, the gnoll Alkin, and the lizardman Wystan.
Towns[]
- Three Strongholds
- Five Fortresses
Strategy[]
Tarnum starts out on the southern end of the map, with a stronghold and the two strongest heroes from the previous scenario. To the east, there's an easily reachable stronghold he should capture quickly. To the west, there's another stronghold, but this one is better protected.
Alkin, Mirlanda, and Wystan have one fortress each, and there's two other neutral fortresses that they might capture. Tarnum's lands are protected by border gates, which will allow him to build up while his foes wear each other out.
The red keymaster's tent is located to the west, south of the western stronghold, the purple tent is just west of his initial stronghold, and the white tent is south of the eastern stronghold. The white gate is north of the western stronghold, the red gate is north of his initial stronghold, and the purple gate is north of the eastern stronghold.
While Wystan and Alkin will probably attack each other early on, Mirlanda is blocked from the others, and from the neutral fortresses, by a two-way portal guarded by behemoths.
The quest hut north of the initial stronghold will trade a Ring of Life for a Tunic of the Cyclops King. The ring can be found north of the western stronghold. The quest hut southwest of the eastern neutral fortress will give a hero 90 lizard warriors for 9000 gold.
Tarnum and his two strongest heroes will carry over to the next scenario, so they should all be as close to the level limit as possible.
