"Scouts have found demon patrols in the neighbourhood. I hope the troops are ready - they'll soon face our demonic foes!"
—Isabel
The Siege is the third scenario in The Queen campaign.
Walkthrough[]
As feared, the scouts were but the vanguard of a larger Demon army headed by a Demon Lord. They are pillaging the Empire, leaving ruin in their wake. Now the time has come for Isabel to pass her first great trial - to fight and defeat an enemy hero and secure the area around the town of Ashwood. She will have to draw on all the skills she has learned in order to succeed.OffBck
Demons have infested the area around Ashwood. To help her in her task, she would need to build the Order of Paladins in Ashwood - a building which will enable her to recruit the blessed warriors of Elrath, paladins. It will be tricky since she hasn't got much resources, so flagging the mines should be her first priority.
The mines themselves for building the buildings are far, so Isabel should flag the sawmills and ore pit nearby. However, she can trade the 60 sulfur for ore (as she has not ore at the beginning).
To stop the invasion, she needs to defeat every single demon. Demons can be at every corner, so she should go around the map and defeat the demons. In the south, some outposts can be seen.
When the Order of Paladins is built and the demons crushed, a Demon Lord, named Kraal, will appear. Isabel needs to defeat him as well, to crush the demons once and for all in the area.
When she defeated the Demon Lord, Beatrice informs her of the news that King Alaron sent Findan with 2 legions of blade dancers. Isabel thanks Beatrice and she prepares to meet up with the Elves and crush the demon invasion.
Events[]
- Beatrice tells Isabel Findan is on the way with an army.
- Isabel goes to meet the army.
Towns[]
Haven: Ashwood.
Strategy[]
Isabel should first concentrate on flagging the local mines and getting the militia from the southern outposts. However, the rest of the mines is in north, guarded by some powerful creatures. Isabel should also trade the sulfur for ore, as she won't have much use of it in this scenario. Isabel should be easily able to defeat the low tier demon scouts, but if her army is small enough, medium tier demon troops can possbily beat her. She will also gain some high tier Haven troops in the north, like griffins and cavaliers. If she has built the jousting range, she should return to Ashwood and upgrade them to paladins.
When Isabel completes the objectives, Grawl will appear. His army is larger than any before seen, though it is rather small and lacks any high powerful troops like some of the demon scouts on the map before hand. By this point Isabel should've gotten a large force, but if she does not, she needs to return to Ashwood and get the troops.
