"Tarnum left the lush underground tunnels of the World Tree not knowing where his search for Vorr would take him. Like a divining rod drawn to water, he felt an unexplainable force pulling him to the northeast across an inhospitable desert."
The Endless Sands is the first scenario in The Fiery Moon, the sixth part of Heroes Chronicles.
Tarnum must cross an inhospitable desert, but he has a new enemy. He must defeat the Inferno town without dying himself. All Heroes are limited to level six, and all of Tarnum's experience, spells, skills, and artifacts will carry over to the next map.OffBck
While the necromancers had been defeated and the World Tree was safe, Vorr was still out there, and the rest of the Ancestors were nowhere to be seen. Tarnum decided to follow Vorr, and he could sense that the Mad Ancestor had fled northeast.
Tarnum, who had been in good health ever since he became the Immortal Hero centuries ago, suddenly fell ill. While the sickness quickly passed, he wondered whether it had anything to do with the missing Ancestors - had their powers kept him in good health all these years?
Tarnum asked his wisest shaman, Wern, where Vorr had fled, but without the Ancestors, the shamans couldn't answer his questions.
A group of demons attacked Tarnum and his army, and they did their best to scare the barbarians witless - scared men make mistakes. To prove that the enemy was nothing to fear, Tarnum tracked down a small camp of demons who had killed some of his goblins, and singlehandedly wiped them out while some of his men watched. Emboldened by this feat, the men destroyed their infernal enemies.
Walkthrough[]
Tarnum starts out with a Stronghold, while the enemy hero Rashka has an Inferno.
From his Stronghold, Tarnum can head northeast to visit the green keymaster's tent, and then to the southeast through the border guard and go through the two-way monolith. He'll arrive at a subterranean gate and a one-way monolith entrance leading back to the Stronghold.
On the surface, the blue keymaster's tent can be found to the southeast. The Inferno is located to the northeast, behind a blue border gate. Tarnum doesn't have to chase down all enemy heroes - once he's captured the town, he's victorious.
Towns[]
- One Stronghold
- One Inferno
Strategy[]
In this campaign, all artifacts will carry over, so Tarnum should pick up as many artifacts as he can. He can find a Targ of the Rampaging Ogre underground, an Ogre's Club of Havoc to the northwest on the surface, and the Equestrian's Gloves northwest of the blue tent.
