"Upon defeating Rabak, Tarnum named himself King of the Barbarians - a title not held by one of his people since Bracaduun conquered their lands. But in the eyes of the Wizard-Kings, he was just a fly to be squashed."
The Criminal King is the second scenario from the Warlords of the Wasteland.
Walkthrough[]
The Wizard-Kings have declared Tarnum a criminal and three Towers are raising forces to capture him. Tarnum must defeat all enemy towns. All Heroes are limited to 11th level, and Tarnum's strongest Captain will accompany him to next level.OffBck
The player has to choose between 10 wolf raiders to join the army or that Tarnum learns Basic Armorer.
Tarnum has been declared Barbarian King, but also a criminal in the eyes of the Wizard-Kings. He needs to defeat all three towers to advance. Tarnum (or his captain) can flag the mines in the south. A portal near the end leads to a northern valley with a gold mine. North of the starting town is a Marletto tower, which gives heroes +1 defense.
There are three Towers that Tarnum needs to capture. One of them is in north-west and is split from other two. It is guarded by some troops in a garrison, but nothing that Tarnum cannot handle.
The other two Towers can be approached via portals only. One of the portals is in the east. The second portal is onward from that one, south of the second town. The portal will lead to the third and final Tower.
Both Tarnum and his strongest hero will carry over to the next scenario.
Towns[]
- One Stronghold
- Three Towers
Strategy[]
Tarnum can with relative ease capture the north-western Tower. However, if the Tarnum waits too long, the enemy can raise a powerful army, so it is advised that he assembles some force to attack. Recruiting troops from external Goblin barracks and Cliff nest is a good idea, too. By increasing his primary stats, he will be more effective in later scenarios.
