The Choice is the fifth and final scenario in Freyda's Dilemma campaign in Hammers of Fate.

Walkthrough[]

Freyda has evaded the wrath of the Dwarwes. What remains is to team up with the rebels and go free Godric. Armando, Freyda's advisor, tells that the members of Red Church and the rebels attack her, so she needs to free Duncan. She needs to get the town of Fjori to go further, however.

The tunnels will lead to the lands of the rebels. A Knight named Klaus will make the ambush, but can be easily defeated. After the battle, Freyda will learn that Duncan is surrounded and captured in southern garrison. The garrison is quite powerful, but can be defeated if Freyda recruits some troops.

After the battle, Duncan joins Freyda, but Freyda still has to free Godric. She needs to take a ship from Gustav's Bend to reach Talonguard. Still, Gustav's Bend is protected and occupied by the Red Church's troops, so Freyda and Duncan should focus on liberating other towns before attacking the said city.

When defeating the Red Chruch's troops and getting aboard the ship, a final battle will commence - the Red Church's troops sent Irina to attack Freyda. So, Freyda should have large army to combat her forces to win. After this event, Freyda goes to Talonguard while Duncan goes to help Wulfstan.

Strategy[]

The Red Church's heroes (Lorenzo and Andreas) are powerful, so Freyda needs to develop the town of Redmine (the closest to the tunnels) so she can free Duncan and attack the other cities.

Notes[]

  • Duncan will be 2-3 levels less than Freyda's current level when she frees him.
  • Despite not listed, Freyda needs to capture Fjori, as when she doesn't, she cannot enter the tunnels.
  • The first artifact Freyda will encounter is guarded, but the troops are not seen at first. During the battle, however, they are air elementals.
