The Archipelago is the fourth scenario in The Ranger campaign of Heroes of Might and Magic V.
Walkthrough[]
Since Talanar and Dirael are left to protect Irollan, Findan has to find Tieru. The way is long and dangerous, as there are many monsters Findan will have to defeat. However, the road itself will lead Findan to Tieru. On his way, he can encounter 4 artifacts - Unicorn Bow Horn, Ring of Vitality, Armor of the Forgotten Hero and Pendant of Mastery. Getting these 4 artifacts will neat a large experience points boost.
The road should take Findan through portals and underground passages to Tieru. However, he sees that demons came to kill him. He needs to defeat both, but as he fought with Nebiros, Biara ran to kill Tieru. She disappeared and Findan comes to the site. Much to his suprise, Tieru's spirit appears before him to talk. Tieru tells him that he needs to do three tasks: get the Heart of the Griffin from the succubus, find the Archmage Zehir and give him the scroll and purge Isabel from demonic taint, as Kha-Beleth cursed her so she will give birth to Demon Messiah, a half-human half-demon into Ashan.
The spirit vanishes, so Findan needs to use one of the boats to reach Biara and make her pay. Biara herself isn't very powerful if Findan made it that far. After her army got defeated, Biara blackmailes Findan that she will give the scroll for her life. Findan is put in a difficult position, so he agrees - Biara gives him the scroll and uses the Heart to transport herself to Sheogh. Findan is quite angry for the deal, but leaves the area back to Irollan.
Events[]
- Tieru is being killed.
- Findan obtains the scroll for the Rite of True Nature.
- Biara gets the Heart of the Griffin.
Strategy[]
Findan will have to accumulate troops on his way and upgrade them as soon as possible. Note that Findan should have as less troop losses as possible to optimize his chances. Also, he should defeat as many foes as possible, as the next scenario is particularly dangerous.
Notes[]
Even if Findan says that the Elves need the artifacts, they will not be transfered to next scenario.
Bugs[]
When obtaining any of the powerful artifacts, Findan will not recieve the experience points boost and they will not be counted to have been obtained.
