All Guardians are androids?[]

The fact that they are officially called Guardians is interesting. I thought it might be so, but there was one detail that made me doubt that all Guardians are androids - the sprite in MM2. They look essentially bionic, unlike those in MM3. Then again, Corak looks bionic as well... --GreatEmerald 06:58, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, aside from references in The Dreamwright, it's the only title the Ancients' computers/"cyborgs" share in common from MM5-8. I don't think the word Android ever shows up in the games either, so we can't really designate them with an unofficial term when we have a more common one.
Corak and Sheltem are bionic (they bleed), but Escaton is far older - he's pure metal and wires. Melian is just a supercomputer. Dubiel 07:52, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

The word android should be ambigious enough to label them all though, as it merely means "human-like" SirGodspeed 18:49, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Escaton?[]

Should Escaton be mentioned here? He's obviously an Ancient construct, but is he a Guardian? Just asking SirGodspeed 18:49, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Escaton is never directly reffered to as a Guardian in MM8, even though that's clearly what he is. He claims he is the Ancients' first servant, "created" as their general, but never uses the term outright. It would be a small assumption on our part to include him, but I suppose there's no harm in it... it's hardly stretching the truth. --Dubiel 19:01, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
I will leave that to those who actually played M&MVIII though, as you probably have better grasp on how ot present this than me. SirGodspeed 22:04, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
