Sulfur

Sulfur is a resource appearing in the Heroes of Might and Magic series. It appeared from Heroes I to Heroes V, but Heroes VI and Heroes VII use a different resource system. Sulfur is also the only resource that does not return in Olden Era. It was one of the rare resources, along with gems, mercury, and crystals.

Sulfur is one of the resources usually associated with evil factions and creatures. Black dragons, for instance, usually costs sulfur. Sulfur mines produce this resource.
