Succubi and Incubi are Demons in Ashan. As Demons, they are affiliated with the Inferno faction.

Children of Asha who pledge themselves to Urgash during their life are reincarnated as Succubi or Incubi after their death, instead of returning to Asha's cycle of life and death.[1][2] Men are reincarnated as Incubi and women as Succubi.[3]

Unlike souls reincarnated as part of Asha's cycle of life and death, after a demon dies, their soul is reincarnated as the same kind of demon with their memories intact, but they will not return to full strength for several decades.[3] When a child of Asha is reincarnated as a Succubus or Incubus, they retain their memories from their previous life, just as they will for all future reincarnations.[3]

Abilities[]

Succubi and Incubi have powers of illusion, charm, and shape-shifting.[1] Due to these powers and retaining their memories of their previous mortal lives, they are frequently used for espionage.[1] They are also capable of creating and shooting fireballs.[4]

Succubi who are battlefield specialists are referred to as Lilim. Their powers of seduction have been honed to the extent that it makes fighting them difficult.[5]

Notable characters[]

The Orc Shaman Toghrul, who sold his soul to Demons, was reincarnated as a Demon after his death, but it is unclear whether he is considered an Incubus. Kraal implies that only Humans who sell their souls to Urgash become Succubi or Incubi.[6]
