The stables is an adventure map object and a type of building in the Heroes of Might and Magic series.

Any hero can visit the stables, and it will increase the hero's several movement for the rest of that week, allowing them to move further on the adventure map. It can usually be built in human-associated towns.

Heroes II[]

As you approach the stables, the head groom appears, leading a fine looking war horse, "This steed will help speed you in your travels, Alas, his endurance will wane with a lot of heavy riding, and you must return for a fresh mount in a week. We also have many finre war horses which could benefit mounted soldiers, but you have none we can help." - My Coment : Recovers some movement.

In addon Heroes II: the Price of Loyalty, the stables on adventure map provides the hero with extra 4 movement per day, for the rest of the week.

The adventure map object also upgrades cavalry into champions for no cost.

Heroes III[]

Castle variant

In Heroes III, the stables provides the hero with extra 4 movement per day, for the rest of the week. It can be built in the Castle town, costing 2000 gold and ten wood. It requires the barracks and the blacksmith to be built, and allows the town to construct training grounds.

The adventure map object also upgrades cavaliers into champions for no cost.

Heroes IV[]

The stables in Heroes IV retains the same function as it did in the previous installment. It can be built in the Haven town, costing 2750 gold and ten wood, and allows the town to construct the knight's chapter.

As an adventure map object, the stables increases 5 movement for the next seven days, so the bonus is not restricted to the current week.

Heroes V[]

The stables in Heroes V provides the hero with extra 6 movement per day, for the rest of the week. It can be built in the Haven town, costing 2000 gold, ten wood, and five ore, and allows the town to construct the jousting arena.

Heroes VI[]

The stables in Heroes VI retains the same function as it did in the previous installment. However, there is no town building to be constructed; it is restricted to the adventure map object.

Heroes VII[]

The stables in Heroes VII retains the same function. It can be built in the Haven and Sylvan town, where it is is renamed to horse stables, costing 1000 gold and five wood.

Olden Era[]

The stables in Olden Era retains the same function as it did in the previous installment. However, there is no town building to be constructed; it is restricted to the adventure map object.
