The Sky Daughter has surrendered control of her will and her being to Father Sky, whose powers she channels through her intimate connection with blood magics. Sky Daughters sacrifice Goblins in their rituals, after which they can call upon Father Sky to strike their enemies with lightning. Because of this they are greatly feared by their opponents - and by Goblins.OffBck
The sky daughter is the fourth-level upgraded creature of the Stronghold faction in Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East. Its basic version is shaman.
Sky daughters have more attack, defense, health, maximum mana, and initiative than shamans, but 1 less speed. Sky daughters also become drastically more powerful with their spells if given enough Blood Rage (their Spell Power quadruples at 1000 Blood Rage or more), and can enhance their stats even further by sacrificing goblins. This makes sky daughters exceptionally deadly in long, drawn-out battles as long as a supply of goblins is available to them.
Their access to chain lightning is a powerful asset, but it must be used carefully since it can damage your own troops (this can occur fairly frequently due to the melee-oriented Stronghold creatures). If you plan to use it a lot, you may want to find a way to give your army resistance to lightning damage (such as the Ring of Lightning Protection artifact).
Abilities[]
- Caster - This creature can use a set of magical spells similar to those cast by heroes. Mana reserve is limited but always set to maximum at the beginning of combat. Spellpower depends on the number of creatures (activated ability). (Slow, Haste, Chain lightning)
- Raging Blood - This creature has a mix of demon and human blood that makes it subject to "Blood Rage" temporarily improving it's battle characteristics for aggressive behavior in combat.
- Sacrifice Goblin - This creature can sacrifice neighboring Goblins to gain mana and increase its Attack, Defense and Morale by 1 point until the end of combat for every oblation (the total bonus is limited to 5 points). The amount of gained mana is equal to twice the hit points of the sacrificed goblin. Activated ability. One (preferably uninjured) Goblin is sacrificed from the targeted adjacent stack. The creature's Mana can exceed its maximum.
