The skeleton is a core creature of the Necropolis in Might & Magic: Heroes VII. Its upgraded form is the skeleton hoplite.
Recruited in the Graveyard. The Pile of bones increases unit growth by +13 per week, and the construction will interfere with the construction of Howling parapet, required to increase the growth of the ghosts and the banshees by +9 per week.
Skeletons are nothing more than dead, decaying bodies animated by the will of a Necromancer. The Skeleton is durable but slow fighter in the Core Necropolis with a base chance to inflict a critical hit and are the weakest in the entire the game, which is compensated by their highest growth rate. Morale, like all undead, is neutral. They cannot be poisoned with poison spells and the ability of a plague lamasu, apply mind-affecting effects to them, and also reduce they are protected by the ability of a manticore. They also cannot be healed or resurrected, nor can they be given Light Magic buffs, making them less useful when playing as the heroes with Light spells, and especially when playing as the Haven.
