Might and Magic Wiki

The shipyard is a type of building and an adventure map structure in Heroes of Might and Magic series.

The shipyard allows the creation of boats. Building a boat costs 1000 gold and 10 wood. Constructing a shipyard inside town costs 20 wood and 2000 gold.

Heroes I[]

In Heroes I, the shipyard can be built inside towns; there is no shipyard as an adventure map object. The shipyard can normally be built if the town is adjacent to water.

Heroes I (GameBoy)[]

The shipyard in Heroes (Game Boy Color) retains the same function as in the previous installment.

Heroes II[]

The shipyard retains the same function in Heroes II as it did in the previous installment. It costs 20 wood and 2000 gold.

Heroes III[]

The shipyard retains the same function in Heroes III as it did in the previous installment. However, the shipyard can only be constructed in Conflux, Castle, Fortress and Necropolis towns. In addition, from this installment, the shipyard is also an adventure map structure.

The exception to this is Castle, which can also construct a lighthouse after a shipyard is built.

Heroes IV[]

The shipyard retains the same function in Heroes IV as it did in the previous installment. In addition, the caravans can transport creatures and heroes across water if the hero has a shipyard inside the town, or is flagged to their kingdom.

Heroes V[]

The shipyard retains the same function in Heroes V as it did in the previous installment. It requires the town level to be at level 12.

Heroes VI[]

The shipyard in Heroes VI is an adventure map structure; it cannot be built inside towns.

Heroes VII[]

The shipyard retains the same function in Heroes VII as it did in the previous installment.
