The Shadow Guild Hideout is a dungeon in Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven. It is the base of operations for the Shadow Guild operating in the Castle Ironfist and New Sorpigal regions.

This dungeon is the target of the quest to Rescue Sharry from the Shadow Guild.

Chests in this dungeon require Disarm Trap level 4 to open. Note that, regardless of skill level, all trapped chests in the game have a chance to explode on a critical failure. Save your game before opening a chest.

Please refer to the map for numbered and lettered locations.

1. Entrance[]

The Hideout may be entered quietly since there is no one immediately present to challenge the intrusion.

2. Multipurpose Room[]

This room probably serves several functions such as raid organization, loot inventory and dispersal, and guardroom. A switch on the wall at A will open and close a door blocking the hallway at a. Quite a few Thieves, Burglars, and Rogues are planning an operation here.

The west doorway, which just looks like a section of wall, only opens from the other side.

3. Prisoner Cell[]

This locked room is currently holding Sharry Carnegie, who was kidnapped from New Sorpigal to encourage the payment of protection money.

There is a Fireball spell set into the wall opposite the door at B that will fire on anyone attempting to enter the cell without permission (just having the key is not enough). There does not appear to be any way to avoid the spell when rescuing Sharry; it is necessary to walk into the cell to collect her. Just opening the door is not sufficient. Sharry will not be visible until she is collected.

4. Bunk Room[]

The rank and file bunk here; there is very little in the room except their beds and (most likely) a suit of plain plate armor on the floor. Several Thieves, Burglars, and Rogues are hanging out here.

5. Second-in-Command's Room[]

This room, populated by several Thugs, Ruffians, and Brigands, contains a chest with a letter from the Prince of Thieves. Unfortunately, it is not enough to implicate the Shadow Guild since he does not mention them by name.

6. Dining Area[]

The Guild eats in this room. Currently dining are several Thugs, Ruffians, and Brigands. The chest here contains some low-to-mid level items.

The switch on the wall at A toggles with the switch in the Multipurpose room (#2) to open and close the wall at a.

Two or three more Thugs, Ruffians, and/or Brigands are lurking just outside the west door in the hallway to the north.

7. Kitchen[]

Several Thieves, Burglars, and Rogues are currently serving kitchen duty. Two attribute-boosting barrels stand in the corner between the fireplace and the counter.

8. Loot Storage Room[]

This room is full of sacks containing loot, and bags of gold. There are also several attribute-boosting barrels on the south side of the room, near the switch at C that will open the section of hallway wall at c. No one is guarding the room.

9. Leader's Room[]

When he is present, the leader of the Guild sleeps here. Currently, several Thieves, Burglars, and Rogues are in the room. The chest on the floor contains the Guild key, which will open the prisoner's cell (#3).

The switch at C toggles with the switch in the Loot Storage Room to open and close the wall in the hallway at c.
