Seeking Armageddon is the third scenario of the campaign Armageddon's Blade in Heroes of Might and Magic III: Armageddon's Blade.
Xeron must gather the Sword of Hellfire, Breastplate of Brimstone, and Shield of the Damned. If he dies, Eeofol's hopes die with him. He will be able to advance to 12th Level, all of his experience, skills, and spells shall transfer with him to the next scenario.OffBck
Walkthrough[]
King Lucifer orders his general, Xeron, to hunt down the three heroes, Ciele, Fiur and Erdamon, who have the three artifacts required to complete the Armageddon's Blade: Brestplate of Brimstone, the Sword of Hellfire and Shield of the Damned. Xeron promises to hunt them down, ensuring this by having the Shackles of War. He also has Ash and Olema by his side to defeat these heroes of Conflux. His assistant, Xex, manages to capture a sage, Sleen. Xeron intimidates the human and learns Fiur can be found in south-west, near the town of Shantalla. A week later, Sleen reports Ciele is found near Phaedral, while Erdamon is south-east of that town. Xeron is pleased by these news, while Xex teleports Sleen to a battle with a wizard fighting purple dragons.
To acquire the pieces, Xeron needs to unlock the gates, found near the Conflux heroes. The keymaster can be found just north-west of Blackpool.
As Xeron prepares for the battles ahead, his supplies will be stolen (-4 to wood and ore, -2 to special resources and -2000 gold), each two weeks, starting from third week. Xeron soon learns there is a small force that dares to attack some towns. One night, he manages to capture an elf, who refuses to talk. Xeron sees for himself the elf is a trained member of Forest Guard. Soon, he also learns that Catherine allied herself with the forces of Conflux, but he still has the aim of completing the blade. Once all pieces have been gathered, the task of crafting the blade is near.

This scenario is available only by completing both Shadows of the Forest and Catherine's Charge scenarios.
Strategy[]
The Conflux heroes have a lot of troops for a start, so Xeron will not be able to face any of them at the beginning of the scenario. Since Ash and Olema support him, they should gather many troops from the nearby dwellings to supply Xeron to attack Fiur first (who is the nearest threat). Once done, Xeron will have to resupply and attack Erdamon and Ciele soon before they gather too much forces. Also, all heroes are limited to level 18, though it may not be wise to boost Xeron too much, since he will be the enemy in later scenarios.
Also, there are additional lightblue, white and green keymaster guards: the white tent can be found north-west of purple keymaster tent, unlocking a gold mine north-east of Blackpool, the green tent is found west of Mourningdale, unlocking a lightblue tent south-east of Tieldis, which unlocks a cache of resources and artifacts east of Sevenar.
