"When the force Gaiam gave empathy with the forest to the Dwarven champion it called Ranger, a dark and mysterious one was indeed created. At home in the denseness of the trees, contented with the thicket of vines and cluttering of bushes, the Ranger was as diverse in mood as the forest was diverse in creatures. Like the first hero Ranger, our own Asa is prone to sudden changes in temper from jovial and impish to condemning and stern."
The Ranger is one of the ten classes in Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra. Rangers can wield most weapons and use magic, but don't really excel at anything. They start with the pathfinding skill and can cast natural spells at half power.
To become a ranger, a character must have intellect, personality, endurance, and speed scores of at least 12. The base hit point growth of a ranger is 9 hit points per level, and they gain an extra attack per round every sixth level.
There is no pre-made ranger character in the game.
