Pyromancy is a secondary skill in Heroes of Might and Magic IV. It increases the efficiency of Chaos Magic spells, specifically magic arrow, sparks, fire bolt, spell shackle, fire ring, fireball, lighting, implosion, inferno, armageddon, chain lighting and disintegrate.

Expert Pyromancy increases the effectiveness of Chaos Magic spells by 60%. It requires the hero to learn Advanced Pyromancy.

Master Pyromancy increases the effectiveness of Chaos Magic spells by 80%. It requires the hero to learn Master Chaos Magic and Expert Pyromancy.


Grandmaster[]

Master Pyromancy increases the effectiveness of Chaos Magic spells by 100%. It requires the hero to learn Master Pyromancy.

This is the final level of Pyromancy skill. This skill allows the hero to learn:

Bonuses[]

The efficiency of Chaos Magic spells can further be boosted through having:

  • Eye of Chaos built in an Asylum town
  • right arm mayhem staff equipped to the hero
  • necklace artifact necklace of balance artifact equipped
  • Sorcery skill (only for damaging spells)

On the other hand, the Chaos Magic spells are inefficient when targeting enemy creatures with Chaos ward ability; either the units can resist such spells (curses category) or they take less damage (damaging spells category).
