The Prophet is an advanced class in Heroes of Might and Magic IV, based on Life Magic and Scouting. Prophets have the Spiritual Armor spell on at all times, which increases Ranged and Melee Defense by 25%.
The Prophet is most likely to learn Scouting and Life Magic and fairly likely to learn the Order Magic and Nature Magic skills. Prophets can not learn Death Magic or Chaos magic when leveling up unless some basic training in those skills is already known.
While Spiritual Armor is a useful spell, providing the Prophet with extra protection, it only saves two mana and a round of combat, since the Prophet could cast that spell through Life magic.
The extra defense could save them in combat, though they should still stay away from the front lines.
