The pit fiend is the fifth-tier creature of the Inferno faction in Heroes of Might and Magic III. It can be purchased at the hell hole. The pit fiend can be upgraded to the pit lord.
Pit fiends and pit lords attack with tormenting whip blows. Once per combat, pit lords are able to resurrect dead allied troops as demons in place of another action. The number raised cannot be higher than the number of pit lords performing the resurrection.OffBck
A better fighter than the demon, more capable in close combat, but also twice as expensive.

- Nymus is a specialist in pit fiends, and gives them +1 to Attack and Defense per hero level after fifth level. These creatures also get +1 to Speed.
