The Ogre fortress is located on in the Alvar region, just north of the road to Murmurwoods. It must be explored to complete the quest to Rescue Arion Hunter's daughter and to partially complete the quest to Kill all the ogres in Alvar.

Chests in this dungeon require Level 5 Expert Disarm Trap to open safely.

The following numbered areas correspond to the numbers on the map.

1. Entry Hall[]

As soon as the party enters, they will be attacked by several Ogre brawlers, Ogre warriors, and/or Ogre warleaders, as well Ogre mage apprentices, and/or Ogre mages, and a number of Soldiers of fortune, Mercenaries, and/or Mercenary captains. In the center of the room is a barred area with a ramp inside that leads to the underground area.

2. Stairwells[]

More Ogre brawlers, Ogre warriors, Ogre warleaders, Ogre mage apprentices, Ogre mages, Soldiers of fortune, Mercenaries, and/or Mercenary captains are waiting in these wings beside the sairways, on both floors of the fortress. In addition, each stairway has a fire trap on all the landings, so that characters stepping onto the landings will take damage.

3. Throne Room[]

This upstairs throne room has several more Ogre brawlers, Ogre warriors, Ogre warleaders, Ogre mage apprentices, Ogre mages, Soldiers of fortune, Mercenaries patrolling both inside it and on the outside of the inner wall. Two trapped treasure chests sit on either side of the throne; each contains some lower mid-grade items. A button on the wall of this room opens the barred area in the Entry Hall at 1; however the button can be difficult to see. It is on the left side of the eastern wall of the inner throne room, from the point of view of someone sitting on the throne.

4. Underground Passage[]

This passage leads from the barred area to the underground section. One to three Ogre brawlers, Ogre warriors, Ogre warleaders, Soldiers of fortune, Mercenaries and/or Mercenary captains can be found waiting where the small passage intersects the larger cavern.

5. Ramp[]

This ramp leads to the ledge and upper cavern area. Three to four Ogre mage apprentices are practicing their spells in here.

6. Empty Cell[]

This empty cell is locked. The key is in the possession of one of the Ogre warleaders on the ledge at 7.

7. Ledge[]

Ogre brawlers, Ogre warriors, Ogre warleaders, Ogre mage apprentices, Ogre mages, and Ogre magi are stationed around this ledge, serving as lookouts for any intruders.

8. Back Caverns[]

Ogre brawlers, Ogre warriors, Ogre warleaders, Ogre mage apprentices, Ogre mages, Ogre magi, Soldiers of fortune, Mercenaries and several attribute-boosting barrels.

9. Hostage Cell[]

This locked cell is where Irabelle Hunter, Arion Hunter's daughter, is being held. One of the Ogre warleaders in the passage between area 7 and this cell is holding the key. Note that Irabelle is a wererat but not an enemy.
