Offense is a secondary skill in Heroes of Might and Magic IV. It grants friendly creatures in the hero's army a bonus to melee and ranged attack.
Offense is related to secondary skill tactics. By default, death knights start with this skill.
Levels[]
Basic[]

Basic offense gives all friendly creatures +10% to their melee and ranged attack. It requires the hero to learn basic tactics.
This skill allows the hero to learn:
Advanced[]

Advanced offense gives all friendly creatures +20% to their melee and ranged attack. It requires the hero to learn basic tactics and basic offense.
This skill allows the hero to learn:
Expert[]

Expert offense gives all friendly creatures +30% to their melee and ranged attack. It requires the hero to learn advanced tactics and advanced offense.
This skill allows the hero to learn:
Master[]

Master offense gives all friendly creatures +40% to their melee and ranged attack. It requires the hero to learn advanced tactics and expert offense.
Grandmaster[]

Grandmaster offense gives all friendly creatures +50% to their melee and ranged attack. It requires the hero to learn expert tactics and master offense.
This is the final level of offense skill, and does not unlock any additional skills. The hero can instead develop the tactics skill, if needed.

Offense has related artifacts, spells and hero classes that also increase potency, by having:
- Right arm artifact equipped:
- crusader's mace
- axe of legends
- true Gryphonheart blade
- sword of the gods
- warlord's ring artifact equipped
- commander's helm artifact equipped
- bloodlust/bloodfrenzy spell cast (for melee attack)
- precision/mass precision spell cast (for ranged attack)
- the hero as a field marshal class
