Obsidian gargoyle's icon

The obsidian gargoyle is the upgrade to the stone gargoyle, the second-tier creature of the Tower faction in Heroes of Might and Magic III. It can be recruited from the upgraded parapet.

Stone and obsidian gargoyles are demon-form statues animated for use as troops. They attack with raking claws.^OffBck

With a slight increase in attack, defense and speed, this is a useful upgrade, but not worth the cost if money is tight.

Notes

• Piquedram is a specialist in obsidian gargoyles, and gives them +1 to Attack and Defense per hero level after second level. These creatures also get +1 to Speed.
