Norry was the older half-brother of Tawni Balfour, and is mentioned in the A Pirate's Daughter campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic IV.
Biography[]
Norry's father was a sailor and occasional pirate, and his mother was a waitress in Nighon. Norry lived in his father's house with his stepfamily. His father would be gone for months at a time, and Norry's stepmother hated him, since he was evidence of her husband's adultery. As such, Norry did not have a happy childhood.
When Tawni and Norry first met, Norry was the leader of a small gang of young thieves. Norry immediately offered his younger half-sister the chance to join the gang, and began to teach her how to steal.
Two years later, Norry and one of the other boys were planning a robbery. The other boy was secretly working for a merchant that Norry had robbed seven times in the last seven years, so the next day, Norry was found dead in an alley, stabbed seven times in the back.
When Tawni discovered what had happened, she tortured the merchant to death with her father's knife, then tracked down the traitor and knocked him unconscious. She took him to the countryside and bundled him inside a large potato sack with just his face exposed, and placed seven hungry rats inside the sack. It took over an hour for the boy to die.
