Nimbus is a male necromancer in Heroes of Might and Magic III. He is mentioned in the manual of Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor.
Biography[]
Heroes III[]
When Nimbus was a child he had a small dog that eventually died of old age. Nimbus discovered that by sacrificing a small bird or other creature, he could resurrect his pet, a feat which he repeated each time the dog died. Little did he realize that he was already exploring the beginnings of Necromancy.OffBck
Might and Magic VII[]
Some time after Archibald Ironfist was turned into a statue during the Second War of Enrothian Succession, Nimbus became the guild leader of the Necromancer's Guild of Enroth. Ten years after the war, Archibald was freed by a group of adventurers. He traveled to Nimbus' estate, where the apprentices informed him that their master was on Antagarich. While there, Archibald noticed the poor performance of the apprentices, concluding that "either the student or the master was a complete incompetent."[1]
Nimbus returned to the mansion with a small party of necromancers, which turned out to be "all of any power" that remained on the continent. Nimbus planned to travel to Deyja and serve the lich king Nicolas Gryphonheart. Archibald defeated Nimbus in a Challenge of Dominance, becoming the new guildmaster. Soon, the necromancers set sail for Antagarich.
