Necromancer necropolis

The Necromancer is a hero class of the Necropolis faction in Heroes of Might and Magic V. Their faction skill is Necromancy. With the exception of creature specialists and campaign heroes, Necromancers start with 20-29 skeletons, 9-11 zombies and 0-3 ghosts.

  • The Necromancer class gains bonus from "Death's Embrace" artifact set: banshee's howl ability decreases the enemy units' morale and luick by additional 2 points, and the hero using this ability wastes 50% less turn.
  • Necromancers have exclusive abilities:
    • boneward: from Sorcery skill, which decreases damage dealt from Destructive Magic spells to Necropolis units by 20%.
    • Lord of the Undead: from Enlightenment skill, which gives a permanent +1 Knowledge, and increases Necromancy skill by 5%.
    • haunted mines: from Summoning Magic skill, which provides ghosts to guard mines that the Necromancer claims for their realm.
    • Herald of Death: from Leadership skill, which turns any neutral troops willing to join the Necromancer's army into an appropriate Necropolis unit.
    • chilling bones: from Defense skill, which inflicts ice damage to any melee attacker that damages a Necropolis unit.
