The master necromancer is a monster in Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer. It is stronger than the dark path journeyman and necromancer.
Master necromancers can be encountered in the Necromancers' Guild and the Mad Necromancer's Lab. They have a ranged attack that does 16D4 dark damage and can cause the afraid status. They have a 40% chance to use the fireball spell, and a 10% chance to use the pain reflection spell. They are immune to dark damage.
If the player sides with Sandro, the necromancers are friendly; if allied with Oskar Tyre, they are hostile.
