The marksman is a creature in Might & Magic: Heroes VI. It is a Core creature of the Haven faction, and is the upgraded version of the crossbowman.
Marksmen are veteran Crossbowmen who traditionally guard the walls of the capital city of Falcon’s Reach. One of the numerous tests to join their ranks reflects on their remarkable skills. They are sent on a hunt with one bolt and must return with two geese brought down with a single shot. Captain Borloo, a legendary Marksman, is said to have found the test too easy. Marksmen have become masters of the crossbow and learned lethal techniques allowing them to make maximum usage of each of their powerful bolts. Not only do the front lines of their enemies fear their piercing strikes, but those standing behind their target must remain extremely wary. Tactics[]
The marksman is Haven's only ranged creature, and must be protected carefully. Combine them with praetorians so that the enemy wont block them easily, and relieve them some if they become damaged. Always try to hit more than one enemy stack, just be careful where the allied creatures are placed so they do not come into the line of fire.
