Might and Magic Wiki

Sir Mardor was the commander of the city of Vitross, a border town belonging to Great Arcan.

During the events of Half-Dead, the campaign from Heroes of Might and Magic IV, the Necromancer Gauldoth Half-Dead was brought before him, accused of killing a baby. Sir Mardor sentenced him to be burnt at the stake, but the Necromancer escaped, and managed to raise an army of undead.

Gauldoth managed to invade the city and take Sir Mardor captive, revealing that he had been innocent of the crime he was almost executed for. He then burnt Sir Mardor at the stake, raising his ghost to serve as his second-in-command.
