The maniacal reaver is an upgraded tier 5 creature of the Hive faction. It is recruited from the Apex II. It is one of two upgrades for the reaver, along with the menacing reaver.

They say it is gruesome to take pleasure in killing for its own sake. I disagree - the true horror lies in witnessing a Reaver tear a battalion to shreds and hearing it cackle like a maniac, hungry for even more carnage.^OffBck

Abilities

	Hive Spawn
	Part of a hivemind that serves a powerful lord from beyond. Morale range: -5 to 5. Luck range: -5 to 5. Fallen Hive Spawn count towards the power of Necromancy reanimation after battle.
	Melee Attack
	Can only attack adjacent enemies. Provokes counterattacks.
	Apex Predator
	Deals +100% Damage to targets of a higher and same tier.
	Murderous Glee
	Upon killing an enemy, immediately gains an additional turn. This ability cannot be used 2 times in a row, but Morale can affect this additional turn.
	Hivemind - Vanguard
	At the start of battle, for each other unique Hive creature in the army, this creature's Attack increases by 1 and Damage dealt by Lucky Strikes by 5%.
	Rapid Assault
	This attack does not provoke a counterattack.
