"Enraged by the discovery that he was intentionally misled in his quest, Mysterio the Magnificent has launched an attack against Channon. He has sworn to not stop until he is standing in the palace at Rylos, where he will make every one of them pay dearly for ever thinking of standing against him."
Magnificent Revenge is the third and last scenario in The Magnificent One campaign in Winds of War.
Information[]
"Angered that the people of Channon would even think of leading him astray, Mysterio the Magnificent has openly declared war against them, and has begun his march toward their capital city of Rylos. The area around Mt. Nokili, just east of Rylos, is rich in resources, and will make an excellent prize along the way."
Angered by the deception of Channon's rulers, and the trap they laid for him, Mysterio the Magnificent plans to conquer Channon. He enters their lands with his army, and supported by an army of the dead, he invades the resource-rich Mt. Nokili.
Strategy[]
Mysterio starts out with a single Academy, and a Necropolis town with a twelfth-level Reaver. Building up the Necropolis will allow Mysterio to perform an attack on two fronts.
There are three hostile Haven players, each with two towns. The closest and weakest is the red, whom Mysterio should conquer quite early - he should be able to do this on his own. None of the towns are too heavily defended, but Mysterio should still bring an army with him when heading west.
There's a quest hut near the green towns, where Mysterio can trade the Hideous Mask for a Shield of Order - but since the only Asylum creatures are neutral stacks, the Hideous Mask may be more useful.
By following the gold oracles, Mysterio can find a grail, but none of the Haven towns will build a grail building. Sending it back to his Academy town is the best use for it.
