Magic Resistance is a secondary skill in Heroes of Might and Magic IV. It increases a hero's Magic Resistance Attack.

Levels[]

Basic[]

SkillBasicMagicResistanceIV

Basic Magic Resistance gives the hero the ability to resist hostile spells 30% of the time. It requires the hero to learn Basic Combat skill.


Advanced[]

SkillAdvancedMagicResistanceIV

Advanced Magic Resistance gives the hero the ability to resist hostile spells 50% of the time. It requires the hero to learn Basic Magic Resistance.


Expert[]

SkillExpertMagicResistanceIV

Expert Magic Resistance gives the hero the ability to resist hostile spells 70% of the time. It requires the hero to learn Advanced Combat and Advanced Magic Resistance.


Master[]

SkillMasterMagicResistanceIV

Master Magic Resistance gives the hero the ability to resist hostile spells 80% of the time. It requires the hero to learn Expert Magic Resistance.


Grandmaster[]

SkillGrandmasterMagicResistanceIV

Grandmaster Magic Resistance gives the hero the ability to resist hostile spells 100% of the time. It requires the hero to learn Expert Combat and Master Magic Resistance.

This is the final level of Magic Resistance skill, and does not unlock any additional skills. The hero can instead develop the Combat skill, if needed.

Bonuses[]

Magic Resistance has related artifacts and structures that also increase potency, by having:

  • magic dampener built in Stronghold town
  • cloak artifact equipped:
    • cloak of warding
    • cowl of resistance
    • mantle of spell turning
