This article is about Heroes III building. For other buildings of the same name, see Mage Guild.
The Mage Guild is a building available to all the towntypes of Heroes of Might and Magic III. Its costs and requirements are the same in all towns. The Guild is a place of magic, where spells are researched.
A Mage Guild can be of different levels. The first time the structure is erected, it starts as a Level One Mage Guild. Then, it can be successively upgraded to the next level. The maximum level to which a Mage Guild can be upgraded depends on the town type. Thus, Strongholds and Fortresses can have a Level Three Guild at max, while Castles are limited at a Level Four Mage Guild. All the other remaining six town types can build a Level Five Mage Guild - the highest level in the game.
Each time the Mage Guild is upgraded, it receives new spells.
