These are the adventure map structures in Heroes of Might and Magic I.

Attribute modifier[]

Buoy

Provides +1 morale for the next battle that the hero fights. Can be found only on water.
Oasis

Provides +1 morale for the next battle that the hero fights. Can be found only in desert.
Statue
H1Statue
Provides +2 morale for the next battle that the hero fights. Can be found on grass, swamp, or dirt.
Faerie ring
H1Faerie ring grass
Provides +1 luck for the next battle that the hero fights. Can be found on grass, swamp, or dirt.
Fountain

Provides +1 luck for the next battle that the hero fights. Can be found on grass, snow, swamp, or dirt.
Gazebo
H1Gazebo grass
Adds 1000 experience to visiting hero. Can be visited once per hero and can be found only on grass or dirt.

Creature banks[]

Graveyard
H1Graveyard
The graveyard is a creature bank where the hero can battle ghosts and be rewarded with gold. After it is looted, it will decrease the morale of the next visiting heroes by one. Can be found on grass, swamp, or dirt.
  • 30% fight 5x2 ghosts for 1000 gold
  • 30% fight 5x3 ghosts for 2000 gold
  • 30% fight 5x5 ghosts for 5000 gold
  • 10% fight 5x10 ghosts for 2000 gold + 1 artifact
Dragon City
H1DragonCity
Dragon City is defended by a small amount of dragons (5x1). When the guardians are defeated, the Dragon City grants 1000 gold per day and has a small host of dragons defending it. Can be found on grass, desert, swamp, or dirt, but only one Dragon City can be on a map.
Shipwreck
H1Shipwreck
The hero fights 5x10 ghosts and is rewarded with 2000 gold and an Artifact. Can be found only on water.

The first hero to visit the campfire is finds a random amount of gold and resources. The campfire can only be visited once, and then it disappears.

  • 400 gold + 4 resource
  • 500 gold + 6 resource
  • 600 gold + 6 resource
Crystal

The first hero to pick the crystal cluster up is finds a random amount of crystal (from 3 to 7). The cluster can only be picked up once, and then it disappears.
Gem

The first hero to pick the gem pile up is finds a random amount of gem (from 3 to 7). The pile can only be picked up once, and then it disappears.
Gold

The first hero to pick the gold pile up is finds a random amount of gold (500, 600, 700, 800, 900, or 1000). The gold pile can only be picked up once, and then it disappears.
Mercury

The first hero to pick the mercury cauldron up is finds a random amount of mercury (from 3 to 7). The cauldron can only be picked up once, and then it disappears.
Ore

The first hero to pick the ore stack up is finds a random amount of ore (from 8 to 16). The stack can only be picked up once, and then it disappears.
Sulfur

The first hero to pick the pyramid of sulfur up is finds a random amount of sulfur (from 3 to 7). The pyramid can only be picked up once, and then it disappears.
Waterwheel
H1Waterwheel
When the hero to visit the waterwheel is provided with gold by the keeper. On the first week it gives 500 gold and gives 1000 gold in every other week. The waterwheel can only be visited once a week and can be found only on grass or dirt.
Windmill
H1Windmill
When the hero to visit the windmill is provided with +2 random resource by the keeper. The windmill can only be visited once a week and can be found only on grass or dirt.
Wood
H1Wood
The first hero to pick the woodpile up is finds a random amount of wood (from 8 to 16). The pile can only be picked up once, and then it disappears.

Treasury[]

Genie lamp

The lamp allows players to recruit genies. Once the player has recruited all available genies, the lamp disappears.
Skeleton

When the hero approaches the skeleton, they have a chance of obtaining a minor artifact or nothing at all.
Treasure chest

Treasure chest contains a varying amount of gold. When picked up by a hero, they can either keep the gold, or give it away for experience.

Traveling and miscellaneous[]

Lighthouse

When a hero gains control of the lighthouse, the faction's heroes gain a bonus to water movement.
Whirlpool
Whirlpool H1
The whirlpool can be used to travel to another part of the map, but that has 1/3 chance to kill 50% of the creatures in the hero's lowest-tier stack.

When the hero enters the daemon cave, they can encounter a demon, and be rewarded with gold or experience.
Obelisk
Obelisk - H1
The obelisk reveals a peice of the puzzle map so the player can find the ultimate artifacts.
