For other characters of the same name, see Landrew.

Lord Landrew is a character in the Price of Peace, the Academy campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic IV.

He appears in the level An Unusual Betrayal as a hostile twentieth-level General with master tactics and combat, expert leadership, melee, and magic resistance, and advanced offense and defense. He's carrying the Sword of Swiftness, Valder's Crossbow of Sloth, a Plate Mail, and the Shield of Chaos.

History[]

Lord Landrew was one of queen Emilia Nighthaven's most loyal supporters, swearing his life for his queen and country, and he was fully committed to the idea of an orderly and just leadership for Great Arcan. Emilia described him as "friendly and charming".

But after coming under the control of Gavin Magnus and his Crystal Pendulum, Landrew was used as a puppet to invade Great Arcan and imprison its population, using them as slaves in the mines. The only one of Landrew's forces that escaped being hypnotized by the Pendulum was his assitant Reed, who was visiting family at the time. On his return, Reed was imprisoned on the remote and inaccessible Asp Isle, but Emilia and her forces freed him.

When Lord Landrew was captured and brought before Emilia, she said: "I saw no trace of the man I once knew in his face. His eyes didn't look at me, but through me. There was no expression on his face - no anger, no fear. If he hadn't been standing in front of me breathing, I would have thought him dead."

Like the others hypnotized by the Crystal Pendulum, Landrew was presumably freed when Solmyr destroyed the Pendulum.

Notes[]

Lord Landrew has the same icon and background as Christian.
