Sir Korbert is a minor character in Heroes of Might and Magic IV. He was a holy knight that died in battle against the undead.
Biography[]
Sir Korbert was a famous and holy knight who was slain while fighting against an army of undead. Many years later, a group of monks created a shrine at his tomb to honor him, and were in the process of having him be named a saint.
Sir Korbert had wielded the Life Shield when he died, and Gauldoth traveled to the shrine so that he could take the shield and use it against Malvich. Disguising himself as a monk, he asked if he could see Korbert's tomb, but the monks wouldn't let him pass unless he brought them the Armor of Death.
Gauldoth retrieved the artifact, and one of the monks let him into Korbert's tomb. Gauldoth crushed the man's skull against the wall, and took the Life Shield from Korbert's corpse. On a whim, he cast a spell that raised Korbert from the dead, and told him to slay the monks. As Gauldoth left, he chuckled as he thought of the faces the monks would make when their holy warrior's undead form came to slaughter them.
