Khazandar's apprentice is a character that appears in Heroes of Might and Magic III: Armageddon's Blade. He is a young boy who works as an apprentice to Khazandar, the great smith hired by Xyron to forge Armageddon's Blade. He described himself as a simple boy in a simple forge.
Biography[]
When the forces of the Conflux learned that Xyron was going to seek out Khazandar and make him forge Armageddon's Blade, they approached the smith and took him away, holding him in a simple, heavily guarded hut in the tunnels left behind by the Overlords of Nighon during their invasion of Erathia.
Some weeks later, Xyron had fought his way through their defenses and convinced the smith to forge the blade, and the apprentice was once again summoned to work for Khazandar.[1]
However, when the work was done, Xyron ordered his minions to capture them and take them to Jagos, where they would be executed. The boy was left to die in a cell, but managed to escape after a few days. He heard tales about a "pale warrior" who was fighting against the kreegans, and decided to seek him out and warn him about the blade. When he finally found the camp, he passed out from exhaustion, but when he woke up, he told them about the blade.
Khazandar, however, was tortured and killed, his body crucified upon the battlements for others to mock and jeer.[2]
