Even now, the traitor is beginning his search for the first piece, deep within the mountains. Uncover it before it falls into his hands; without it we will never be able to discover the location of the other pieces."

Island of Chaos is the second scenario of the the Price of Loyalty campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Price of Loyalty.

Eliminate all oposition in this area. Then the first piece of the artifact will be yours.OffBck

When the warlocks and their allies have been defeated, the Empire's soldiers can claim the first artifact: the Breastplate of Anduran.

Walkthrough[]

The Empire starts with a blue sorceress castle and a hero. The red player has two knight castles, two barbarian castles, and a barbarian hero, and the yellow player has three warlock castles and two warlock heroes. All start out with very small forces.

Take the gold as the starter reward, as the player will need to build an army as fast as possible! There are Barbarian & Knight castles directly north of the player, and a Warlock castle in the northeast. Thus, the player needs to finish before they face dragons!

Keep reloading the campaign until the player gets either a knight or a barbarian to recruit. Afterwards split, the sprites into 2/3 slots so that the player can take the gold mine early. During the first week, focus on building up to unicorns. Once the first week of troops arrive, start heading north. Conquer the first barbarian castle, then leave it empty and head for the knight castle to the southwest. The AI will quickly send forth their heroes in an attempt to take an empty castle. Crush any enemy heroes, which it will severely weaken them. While doing so, let the sorceress hero deliver a fresh week of troops to the main hero back and forth. There are only two more castles (1 knight, 1 barbarian) to the north and south. Once these are secured, the red player has been defeated

If the player manages to finish the red player within three monts, it is very unlikely that the Warlock player has unlocked dragons, leaving only the slow but extremely tough hydras to worry about. If the player find their forces burning up at the mercy of warlock's spellcasting, get dragons in the first available Warlock castle. Consider going back and forth using dragons to do some damage, surrender, then repeat. Once the player has weakened yellow enough, burn through the last warlock castle!
