Iron golem's icon

The iron golem is the upgraded version of the stone golem, the third-tier creature of the Tower faction in Heroes of Might and Magic III. It can be recruited from the upgraded golem factory.

Stone and iron golems are built and animated through a process involving both precise craftsmanship and complex magic. Though slow, they are strong and durable combatants. Stone golems take half damage from spell attacks, while iron golems take only a quarter of such damage.^OffBck

With better attack, speed and hit points than the stone golem, it is more effective in combat, but is still most suited for a defensive role. The 75% protection from spell damage means it will last longer against hostile spellcasters.

Notes

• Josephine is a specialist in iron golems, and gives them +1 to Attack and Defense per hero level after third level. These creatures also get +1 to Speed.
