Dread Pirate Hogfling is an ogre pirate captain that appears in the Foolhardy Waywardness campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic III: Armageddon's Blade.
Biography[]
Hogfling was the captain of a group of pirates that Sir Christian encountered when he was shipwrecked on the islands of the Regnan Empire. Sir Christian described him as a "foul-smelling, foul-mouthed fat old ogre".
The pirate told Sir Christian that if he managed to defeat some of their enemies and take over their islands, then Hogfling's assistant (also named Hogfling) would get him aboard a ship and on his way home. Since he didn't have many options for getting home, Sir Christian agreed to help him.
While battling the enemy, Sir Christian encountered a messenger from Erathia, and learned that the pirates were just using him to kill off the other pirate sects. They then planned to take over their resources and use them to launch an attack on Queen Catherine's military base near Enroth. Angry at being used as a tool to attack his homeland, Sir Christian left the pirates and traveled to the military base. He helped defend it until Catherine's fleet arrived, driving the pirates away.
