Coursing through the Hellmare's veins is not blood but hell's fire. And such is the heat emanating from the body of this equine monstrosity, that anyone who goes near it risks being burnt to a crisp.OffBck

The hell stallion is the alternate upgrade of the Hell charger, the fifth-level creature of the Inferno, in Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East.

Compared to the nightmare, the hell stallion has 1 less initiative and defense, but 2 higher minimum and 1 higher maximum damage. The main difference between the hell stallion and the nightmare is largely their Auras. The nightmare reduces morale, while the hell stallion does direct fire damage. Both have their tactical uses and the choice between them should depend on what the opposition is using.

Note that the hell stallion's Searing Aura deals Fire damage, so creatures with Immunity to Fire (such as fire dragons) will not take damage from Searing Aura.

Ablities[]

  • Large Creature - This creature is bigger than others and occupies four squares on the field.
  • Demonic - This creature belongs to Inferno. The Chain shot (Succubus Mistress ability) does not affect it but it is vulnerable to Holy Word spell.
  • Searing Aura - At the beginning of its turn, any enemy creature adjacent to the Hell Stallions suffers 10 points of Fire damage per Hell Stallion in the stack.
  • Fear Attack - There's a chance the enemy attacked by this creature panics and tries to run to the edge of the arena to get as far away from the creature as possible, losing all initiative accumulated by this time. (Doesn't affect creatures immune to Mind-related spells).
