Hareck I was the founder of the Regnan Empire, and the first Lord of Regna. He is mentioned in Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor and Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer.
Founding of the Empire[]
In the 6th Century AS, Hareck had claimed numerous isles within the Endless Ocean with his group of sea-raiders. He then set his eyes on an island off the southern coast of Jadame. The island, named Regna Island, was home to the ancenstors of the Trolls of Ironsand.
Hareck had a blade enchanted with the ability to cut down Trolls with ease. Wielding the blade, called "Judicious Measure," in hand, Hareck led a part of raiders against the Trolls. The Trolls were ousted, and Hareck declared his island holdings as the Regnan Empire. He proclaimed himself the Lord of Regna and the Emperor of the Endless Ocean, assuming Regna Island as his seat of power.
Hareck had his own set of enchanted leather armor. It imbued the user with the ability to walk on water, a very useful powerful for a pirate. It also gave the user extrordinary luck in order to avoid dangerous situations, and assisted in disarming traps. He also used the "Judicious Measure" cutlass, a blade lethal to Trolls and also imbuing the user with great luck. Finally, he possessed a spear named after his wife Charele - in addition to being a very powerful item, it was imbued with inherent swiftness.
Death[]
One night in the year 590 AS, Hareck I died after eating dinner with his wife. Queen Charele had poisoned his meal.
