Hardwick was a town of the Griffin Empire. It was captured by Demons during Queen Isabel's War.

While at the Summer Palace, Biara-as-Beatrice used Hardwick's and Thornham's fall as an argument for seeking outer help from the Empire's old allies, Irollan and the Silver Cities.[1] In reality, she just wanted to implicate Isabel in the conflict so she could be captured by the Demons - the true objective of their attack on the Empire.
