"Each year, griffins from around the world migrate to Griffin Cliff. Armies of King Gryphonheart the First tamed the griffins and trained them for war. With these great beasts, King Gryphonheart unified the divergent human colonies and formed Erathia. King Gryphonheart felt the land’s native griffins were key to any Erathian war. To secure Steadwick, we need the griffins."

Griffin Cliff is the third and last scenario of the campaign Long Live the Queen in Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Restoration of Erathia.
Walkthrough[]
The region of Griffin Cliff, the annual breeding grounds from which nearly all of Erathia's Griffin population comes from, is currently under the control of the combined Nighon and Kreegan forces. Generations ago, the Griffins were key to building Erathia, and today they are key to reclaiming it.OffBck
In this scenario, your commanders don't have level limit. The objective of the map is to capture seven griffin cliffs, located in the northern part of the map surface. You start with eight heroes from previous scenario in the south of the map and three towns.
Surface[]
The surface is mostly covered in grass with the exception of the northern part which is dirt terrain. The seven griffin cliffs are located there. There are three towns in south, all being owned by player at the beginning of the game. More towards the middle, there are four Tan castles- two Infernos and two Castles. A subterranaen gate is located in the middle of the map.
Underground[]
Underground, there are three Dungeons belonging to Orange player and a Dragon Utopia.
Strategy[]
The heroes, at start, may not be able to do much in the area. However, after constructing several dwellings in the main Castle, the heroes should recruit some forces and attack the neighboring Inferno towns. The enemy will need some time to recover, so the heroes need to build the other two Castles or capture the ones in the north. Once done, they need to capture the Dungeon towns underground and finish the main objectives. If taken too much time, the enemy may build powerful forces.
